 Kevin K. Eckert 凱文艾克特 | 凱文艾克特是美國Arbor Global公司的總經理兼主任顧問師。該公司從事樹藝顧問、訓練、樹木管理，及對政府部門、公共管線、城市、公司、個人提供專家意見及公證服務。範圍遍及全美、香港、亞洲、及太平洋沿岸地區。他是ISA合格認證的大師級樹藝師及攀樹師。 凱文從1979年起開始成為攀樹師以來，就從事不同程度的樹木風險評估工作。他畢業於西維吉尼亞大學森林系及野地公園管理系。他積極參與樹藝專業的推廣，目前是夏威夷大學樹藝學講座教授、香港樹藝專家小組委員、樹藝師認證委員會理事、及太平洋聰明種樹協會理事長。在他的生涯中獲得無數專業的、政府的、以及私營機構頒發的獎座，來酬謝他推廣樹藝及無私的樹藝教育工作。 他對樹藝的熱情，使他願意分享他的知識及經驗，來提升和他一樣熱愛樹藝的人士的專業能力。他的目標是希望能建立一群有能力、有熱忱的學生和同業，大家一起 把樹種好，留給下一代一個優質的生活環境。 |

Explain the professional and legal responsibilities related to tree risk

Review levels of tree risk assessment and identify advantages and
limitations. List tools commonly used in a basic assessment. Review
common advanced assessment techniques.

Identify target types and occupancy rates and discuss how it affects
likelihood of impact. Discuss how distance of fall, part size, and protection
factors affect consequences of failure.

the common response growth adaptations and discuss how each may affect
likelihood of failure. Explain how the type and location of decay affects
mechanical properties of wood. Describe factors to consider when
assessing loads on trees. Identify the internal stresses of trees that are
generated by loads. Explain cross-sectional area formulas and threshold guidelines, and discuss the limitations.

Learn how to categorize tree risk based on data analysis using matrix.
Define the four risk rating categories. Describe how to determine an
overall risk rating.
4:00 –4:30 Mitigation and Reporting減輕風險及報告
Discuss common tree risk mitigation actions, including tree-based and
target-based actions. Assess the expected residual risk following
mitigationactions. Describe the options for effectively communicating
risk to a tree owner/manager through written and verbal reports. Explain the limitations of tree risk assessment and components considered for determining an inspection interval.
